As part of the Rhynie Woman Archive Project we would like the community of Rhynie in its widest possible context to contribute objects, stories and photographs to the website. History is always in the making and what we think of as normal today will be viewed through a different lens in the future. All too often ways of life melt away as time marches on, almost imperceptibly, and so we would like to capture Rhynie as it is now alongside the evidence of what we believe it once was.
The artefacts that are exhumed by archaeologists were once the flotsam and jetsam of our ancestors. Not necessarily precious, they were used and held and someone had some sort of attachment to it. It is this debris of everyday life that we are interested in here and would like to record.
Please send us an email and let us know if you have an object, a story, video, photograph, postcard or anything else that you would like to see recorded here. This is not restricted to past events and people as we would like to upload contemporary objects, images and stories too.
