This plastic doll’s shoe was unearthed from the garden at Nicol Lodge in 2014. On the bottom of the heel are the words ’Cinderella No 44’. Nicol Lodge is now a private house in Rhynie but was in it’s past a Maternity Hospital, a Children’s Home and a Women’s Refuge (not all at the same time). One lonely Cinderella doll’s shoe seems all the more romantic in light of the house use.
